Friends of Capitol Modern (formerly Friends of HiSAM) is proud to present the MOD Gala, a fashion-forward event celebrating Hawaii's rising stars in the avant-garde. The gala returns in 2026 with Celestial Concerto, a reminder that the universe is our canvas, inviting designers and artists to stretch beyond boundaries into the infinite. As bold and imaginative as last year’s showcase was, we are confident that this next gala will be nothing short of a luminous, boundary-defying celebration of the arts. Friends of Capitol Modern supports the mission of the Capitol Modern Art Museum to engage Hawaii through new art and culture-based experiences. As a small community gallery with a big responsibility, the museum strives to serve all of Hawaii by presenting an evolving and compelling portrait of our islands, a space where you can expect the unexpected.
